Latest Movie Updates: Gadar 2, the highly awaited sequel to the blockbuster film Gadar from 2001, is scheduled to release in theaters in August. Fans are eagerly awaiting any updates about the movie. Sunny Deol reprises his role as Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel returns as Sakeena. Director Anil Sharma has revealed that the iconic song "Main Nikla Gaddi Leke" will be recreated for Gadar 2. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sharma expressed that while it is common for folk songs to be adapted in films, this is the first time a film song has transformed into a folk song. The song has gained popularity across Rajasthan, becoming a notable achievement for composer Uttam Singh and lyricist Anand Bakshi.

Anil Sharma mentioned that composer Mithoon has created a modern and youthful version of the song for the sequel. He expressed that when they witness the chemistry between Tara and Sakeena in conjunction with the song, it evokes a feeling of being immersed in cherished memories and experiencing pure joy. Dedication the song to the audience, he emphasized that it belongs to the public, who are thoroughly enjoying it.

The teaser of Gadar 2 reveals that the sequel takes place in 1971. It starts with a voiceover by a woman, who says, "He is the son-in-law of Pakistan. Give him a warm welcome, anoint him. Otherwise, this time he will take Lahore as dowry." The scene then shifts to Tara Singh disembarking from a bus in Lahore, where he is greeted by a crowd chanting anti-India slogans.

For those unfamiliar, the original film was set during the period of the India-Pakistan partition.

Apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, Gadar 2 will feature Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Luv Sinha, and Simrat Kaur in prominent roles. The film is slated for a theatrical release on August 11th.
