Shanaya Kapoor joins Mohanlal's pan-India film 'Vrishabh'

Mumbai: Newcomers Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan have recently joined the cast of Mohanlal's upcoming pan-India film, Vrushabha. The project, a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, Connekkt Media, and AVS Studios, will be directed by Nanda Kishore. Joining them is actor Roshann Meka. Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor, is set to make her Hindi film debut with Karan Johar's production Bedhadak. In Vrushabha, she will play a pivotal role that bridges the gap between past and present timelines in this epic action entertainer.

Expressing her excitement, Shanaya Kapoor shared, "I am highly thrilled to face the camera and begin shooting. There will be so much to learn and explore from this film. The storyline is captivating, and it has stayed with me. Moreover, the film boasts an impressive lineup and is being made on a grand scale. Zahrah S Khan, daughter of veteran star Salma Agha, will make her debut in Indian cinema with Vrushabha. She will be portraying the character of a warrior princess. Zahrah expressed her enthusiasm about working with Mohanlal and Meka in her debut pan-India release. She said, "I've always wanted to be a part of a film with such high-level performers like Mohan sir, and to share screen space with him is a treat for me as an actor. The film's visual aesthetics and grandeur are impressive, ranging from the historical sections to the present day."

The addition of Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan to the cast of Vrushabha brings fresh talent to this ambitious project, which promises to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline and star-studded lineup.

Zahrah S Khan expressed her eagerness for the audience to witness her character and the incredible work done by director Nanda Kishore. The film, Vrushabha, is set to begin production later this month and is scheduled for release in 2024 in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi languages.

The project is a collaborative effort, with Abhishek Vyas, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta, and Shyam Sunder from First Step Movies, Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor from Balaji Telefilms, and Varun Mathur from Connekkt Media serving as the producers.
