New Delhi: Great news for Dhanush enthusiasts! The actor himself has shared the captivating first-look poster of the film "Captain Miller" on social media. The poster offers a glimpse into the movie's thrilling and action-packed setting, as Dhanush stands amidst what appears to be a war-torn landscape. With a rugged beard and a stylish man bun, he brandishes a weapon while bodies lay strewn around him. "Captain Miller," directed by Arun Matheswaran of "Rocky" and "Saani Kaayidham" fame, has been produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The film boasts talented individuals such as Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Sundeep Kishan in pivotal roles. Dhanush aptly captioned the post with, "Captain Miller first look. Respect is freedom," which garnered enthusiastic responses from fellow actors Prasanna and Raashii Khanna. Nivedhithaa Sathish exclaimed, "Killer, killer, Captain Miller!" According to the poster, the film is set to hit theaters in 2023.

In a recent interview with The Times Of India, director Arun Matheswaran shared intriguing details about the first-look poster of the film. He revealed that the gun held by Dhanush in the poster is a modified version of a Lewis gun, a light machine gun from World War I. The team ensured that the poster met international standards, considering it to be one of Dhanush's biggest films in terms of scale and budget in Tamil cinema. The designs were crafted by Tuney John, known for his work in notable films like Pushpa and Maanaadu. Arun also disclosed that Dhanush will sport three different looks in the film, with the first-look poster showcasing one of these looks. The remaining looks will be unveiled during subsequent promotional activities. He further mentioned that a significant portion of the film, including scenes featuring Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, has already been shot. Set in the pre-independence era of the 1930s, "Captain Miller" promises to transport audiences to a compelling period in history.

A few months back, Dhanush delighted his fans by sharing a picture of himself sporting a rugged appearance with a long beard and untamed hair. He captioned it simply as "Captain Miller." GV Prakash responded to the post with enthusiasm, commenting, "Miller [fire emojis]."

Dhanush's recent film "Vaathi" featured a talented cast including Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani, P. Sai Kumar, and Tanikella Bharani.
