Trinamool's Response to PM's Speech: Leading the Largest Opposition Party

New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress, in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks targeting opposition parties in his Shahdol speech, labeled him as the leader of the "biggest opposition party" that stands against job creation, democratic values, federalism, and price control. Derek O'Brien, a Trinamool Rajya Sabha member, accused the BJP of opposing employment opportunities, democracy, and the principles of federalism.
In a tweet, the Trinamool Congress expressed that the term "opposition parties" does not apply to the Prime Minister, as he himself leads the largest opposition party. They highlighted that his party is against providing employment opportunities for young individuals, nurturing democracy, preserving federalism, and controlling prices.
During his speech, Prime Minister Modi remarked that the social media posts from various opposition parties, who are aiming to unite, have been gaining significant traction lately. He further stated that these parties are joining forces solely to endorse dynastic politics.
Following the recent gathering of Opposition parties in Patna, the BJP has raised doubts regarding the intention and solidarity of the meeting.
